“Loving Hands has had an extremely positive impact on Kristina’s life”.

My daughter Kristina has been an active participate with Loving Hands for many years. Attending programs has been extremely beneficial to her in that she has made some strong friendships and connections. She has enjoyed a wide variety of activities and programs and has engaged in many community events that Loving Hands has facilitated for seniors and adult with disabilities. Kristina has especially enjoyed the outings and exploration activities.

“I understand how “Loving Hands” became part of the name of this group”.

Loving Hands have hosted several public events for our community’s seniors and adults with disabilities. These events give us possibilities to show off the client’s abilities. I have participated and volunteered, and I have also observed the positive reaction of the individuals participating in the various programs offered by this organization. I also understand how “Loving Hands” became part of the name of this group

“The caring and quality of service my parents have received through this program puts it in a class that other programs cannot even touch”.

My parents who are seniors have been clients of the Loving Hands adult day program for the past 3 years. It did not take long to see the incredible impact for good this program provided not only to my parents but to all of the clients who attend. Loving Hands has taken them from isolation to being valued members of a vibrant community consisting primarily of adults with disabilities. Being part of this community and the many services/activities they provide has enriched my parents’ lives in so many ways and I am incredibly grateful to have connected them with such an outstanding organization!

While there are many services for seniors and adults with disabilities, the caring and quality of service my parents have received through this program puts it in a class other programs cannot even touch. The very personal care and motivation behind this business translates into participants feeling like they are part of something bigger than themselves – they are valued and feel part of the Loving Hands’ family and this is something organic to Loving Hands that is not easily replicated!

“Since Sarah has joined, she is motivated to get out of bed in the mornings, is less stressed and has her emotions more under control. It gives her a sense of purpose and belonging”.

My 22 years old daughter Sarah and I discovered Loving hands in 2019 and she felt immediately like she had found a group that 100% understood her and that she belonged. She loved the program from day one. Since Sarah has joined, she is motivated to get out of bed in the mornings, she is happy to reconnect with old friends, make new friends, she is less stressed and has her emotions more under control. It gives her a sense of purpose and belonging. We appreciate Loving Hands for having such a fantastic program.

“I see significant (positive) changes in things like their behaviors and speech”.

I have worked collaboratively with them on their community events they hold for the seniors and adults with disabilities. Their events are geared specifically towards and lets the community know that they offer these programs, Programs such as music, first aid, drama, filed trips, life skills and of course art. I have enjoyed watching Heather’s clients open up over the time I have been with there. I am only there once a week and see significant (positive) changes in things like their behaviors and speech. You can see they love to be there and are proud when they accomplish things.

I have recommended Loving Hands to many, and I will continue to help out where I can in the future.

“The virtual experience is still “hands on” making it a lot more interactive”.

One of the elements that makes the Loving Hands virtual programming stand out from the others is that they deliver materials for activities such as games and crafts to the participants so that the virtual experience is still “hands on” making it a lot more interactive and fun than what I have seen from other programs

The programing is varied and is keeping Sarah engaged, it gives her something to look forward to during the week”.

During the time Sarah was not attending in person, she was missing out on the interaction with peers and the structured program. I tried to do as much as I could do at home but since I work full time, I was not able to keep her as engaged. She was becoming withdrawn and spent a lot of time obsessing over her health and what covid could do. Her meltdowns increased during this time.

When Loving Hands moved to their online program, Sarah rejoined and is so happy to see her friends again. The programing is varied and is keeping Sarah engaged. She is learning life skills, playing games, making art and is learning Spanish and ASL. The program gives her something to look forward to during the week and is helping her practice skills to build friendships and to do be independent
