The Deal: Each table will facilitate four competitors. The entire deck will be dealt to all four players, giving each 13 cards. Each player will separate their cards into four piles, representing each Suit. The Play: From a separate deck of cards, the “Caller” will select a card, one at a time, and call out the rank and suit of the card – for example “queen of hearts.” The player with the called card turns it face down. The first player to turn all their cards face down wins the prize.

Ten-pin bowling is a competitive sport in which a player (the “bowler”) rolls a bowling ball down a wooden or synthetic lane to score points by knocking down as many pins as possible.
It is among the most popular for people with disabilities, as well, as for many seniors, irrespective of their age or sports abilities, since it ensures physical exercise and at the same time participation and social integration. Plus, it’s great fun! Join us each week at The Bowling Depot (Meet us there or hop on our bus) as we compete against friends and knock as many pins down as you can, get your game face on!

Welcome to ASL class!
As you probably know by now ASL is a unique language. It’s entirely different from English and other spoken languages. Grammar is not simply a matter of word order, and it also involves facial expressions and body positions. We encourage you to let go of your inhibitions and give yourself your best efforts. Remember; we are all in this together. This course is to help beginners understand ASL and how to use it. The classes will be hands on, and group practice.

Kick Boxing

Kickboxing can help with many struggles common among people on the spectrum and provides a constructive outlet to help them express themselves through physical activity. The focus and concentration required can also help curb “stimming” behaviours. It encourages attention and self-control, which can be particularly helpful with ASD.
